Swamp With Absentee's
The Gazette is reporting that election boards across the state. A Baltimore County official says that the number of absentee's could cause the very thing that they are trying to avoid. The spike is due to the number of politicians advocating voters to use them. Governor Robert Ehrlich (R) and Montgomery County Executive Douglas Duncan (D) have been the face of the effort.
It's Election Day Down The Ocean, Hon!
It's Election Day in Ocean City. Four council seats are up for grabs with eight candidates hoping to grab one. Mayor Rick Meehan is running unopposed, this will be his own term as mayor of OC. Former Governor Harry Hughes was at the Maryland State Archives recently to sign copies of his new book, "The Unexpected Journey: The Autobiography of Gov. Harry Roe Hughes." The Capital says thaty it was written with a former Baltimore Sun writer who would go to Denton once a week to "remenisce."

They ripped each other through the course of two taped debates. The first one that was taped on Television Hill and aired late last night on WBAL-TV (Channel 11). The second one taped at Maryland Public Television. The Baltimore Sun has highlights. By the way, both camps are claiming victory....in both debates.
Lower Eastern Shore: Age v.s. Experience
In District 38A, a College Senior won the Democratic Primary. Patrick Armstrong was running against well-known Attorney Tony Bruce, who died in August. The Democratic Central Committee left his name on the ballot. Instead of naming a replacement for Bruce after the primary, Armstrong got 59 percent of the vote. More from The Daily Times.
